First opened in February 1982 http://www.sentosa.com.sg/about_us/sentosa_island/milestones.html, it operated 14-car non-air conditioned trains in a unidirectional counter-clockwise single loop through seven stations around the western half of the island. The trip was free for passengers, who could ride the system as often as they wished throughout their stay on the island.
