Serangoon Junior College (SRJC) is a junior college in Singapore
, offering a two-year course for pre-university students leading up to GCE 'A' Level
examinations.
. With a pioneering staff strength of 45 teachers, lessons for the first batch of 673 students commenced in April of the same year. In December 1990, the College relocated to its present campus at Upper Serangoon Road. It was officially declared open on 29 May 1992 by Mr. Lee Yock Suan, the then Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Cheng San GRC.

The current set of vision, mission and values was revised in 2007.
SRJC received this award for her achievement in the 2009 GCE 'A' Level Examination. The 2009 GCE 'A' Level Examination results saw significant increase in the number of students who attained 80 rank points and above out of a maximum of 90. There were also more than 80% of students obtaining ‘A’ grades for Project Work in the same year.
Character Development Award (Gold) (2010)
This award affirms the systems and processes that the College has established in the honing of students' character.
Sustained Achievement Award (Aesthetics) (2010)
This award recognises the continued attainment of the Achievement Award for the past 2 consecutive Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) years.
In line with the new 'A' Level syllabus stipulated by MOE, students are also required to take a contrasting subject that is outside their area of studies. The contrasting subject may be offered at either the H1 and H2 levels.

Principals
The College has been served by five principals thus far: The founding principal Mr. Thomas Tan from 1988 to 1996, Ms. Jenny Yong from 1996 to 2002, Mrs. Kok Chwee Kee from 2002 to 2006, and Mr. Tan Teck Hock from 2007 to 2010. The current principal, Mrs. Wong-Cheang Mei Heng, appointed in December 2010, is the College’s fifth principal.College Anthem

Academic Information
The course offered in SRJC consists of H1 General Paper, H1 Mother Tongue, H1 Project Work, together with four content-based subjects (3H2+1H1 or four H2 subjects). Students with a flair in an area will be offered subjects at H3 level after the end of JC1 promotional exams.In line with the new 'A' Level syllabus stipulated by MOE, students are also required to take a contrasting subject that is outside their area of studies. The contrasting subject may be offered at either the H1 and H2 levels.

SR Olympics
SR Olympics is an annual sports event participated actively by the staff and student population of SRJC. Traditionally, it also marks the opening of the annual funding raising event.WILL Run
The WILL Run is an annual fundraising event that is integral in SR’s pursuit of perseverance and selflessness. The term WILL evokes the willingness of an individual to run at least 10 km to raise funds for the community and for the college building.
