For the 2008–09 campaign, Radu moved on a loan spell to newly promoted 1. Bundesliga side 1. FC Köln
. After relegating on 30 May 2009 to the reserve team from VfL Wolfsburg
turned on 17 July 2009 back to Energie Cottbus
who signed a 3-year contract.
In January 2011 he ended his contract with Energie Cottbus
and joined Alemannia Aachen
