Royston featured in two of the four pre-season friendlies. He played against his old club Halifax RLFC
and Wakefield Wildcats. He scored a try against Halifax.
Shad featured in four consecutive games from Round 1 (Leeds Rhinos
) until Round 4 (Wakefield Wildcats), he was dropped for Round 5 but returned to play in another four games between Round 6 (Castleford Tigers
) and Round 9 (Hull FC
). Royston was once again dropped for Round 10 but came back to play in six consecutive games from Round 11 (Leeds Rhinos
) to Round 16 (Harlequins RL), he was dropped but then played in Round 18 (Hull FC
), his next appearance was in Round 21 (Castleford Tigers
). He did not play again until Round 25 (Wigan Warriors
). He returned to the team against Wakefield Wildcats. Shad has scored 12 tries this season: Crusaders RL (1 try), Wakefield Wildcats (3 tries), Castleford Tigers
