Shadowside is a heavy metal band with female vocals from Brazil drawing from influences of Thrash and Hard Rock.

Featuring Dani Nolden, one of the most unique and strong female voices ever heard, they combine influences of Hard Rock, Thrash and Heavy Metal and are known for their strong hooks, heavy guitars and high energy live show.
During the year of 2006, Shadowside supported Helloween in Brazil and was awarded best band, album, lead singer and national show by several media professionals such as Airton Diniz, Editor in Chief of Roadie Crew Magazine. They were also featured on radio playlists worldwide. However it was in 2007 that Shadowside really went international. Other artists they have performed with are Kittie, Divine Heresy, Daath, Temple of Brutality (featuring David Ellefson of Megadeth) and Sepultura.

In the summer of 2008 Shadowside did their first tour of the US, including a performance that June at the Flight of the Valkyries
festival in St. Paul, Minnesota. At that festival, Shadowside vocalist Dani Nolden shared the state with Benedictum

In August 2009 the band released their second album, Dare to Dream, in Brazil through LCM/Radar Records

The idea was immediately accepted and embraced by the fans and the album immediately hit position #4 in the Roadie Crew album charts (the most important Brazilian Metal magazine).
In 2010, Shadowside was described by the media as “the best band Brazilian band in activity” Novo Metal websitehttp://www.novometal.com and as the band that rescued attitude in Rock music Roadie Crew Magazinehttp://www.roadiecrew.com. Dare to Dream also received high praise, being picked album of the year by the vast majority of the press in Brazil, top 3 albums by nearly every website and magazine in the country, voted by readers of the Portuguese magazine Horns Up! as the best Brazilian band and by readers of Roadie Crew as best female singer and top 3 overall, top 3 albums, top 3 bands, top 10 guitarists and top 10 live concerts.
Recorded, produced and mixed by Dave Schiffman (Audioslave, System of a Down, Six Feet Under) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pantera, Rush, Aerosmith and several others), Dare to Dream is scheduled for a worldwide release with a bonus track in May/June 2010.
History
Beginning in 2001, Shadowside entered the Brazilian metal scene with a stage act that incited a buzz around the band. This buzz enabled them to secure support slots for bands such as NightwishNightwish
