Shah Jahan III also known as Muhi-ul-millat was Mughal Emperor briefly. He was the son of Muhi-us-sunnat, the eldest son of Muhammad Kam Baksh who was the youngest son of Aurangzeb
. He was placed on the Mughal throne in December 1759 by Ghazi ud-Din Khan Feroze Jung III
but subsequently deposed by the Afghan confederation (Rohillas and Ahmad Shah Abdali) and Nawab
of Oudh Shuja-ud-Daula
in 1760 in recognition of Shah Alam II
as the rightful heir to the throne who was in exile at Allahabad
