Corporate history
SDHS was originally incorporated with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government in July 1997 as the Shandong Province Highway Limited Corporation. Since then SDHS has gone through a series of name changes as its ownership situation and corporate mission have evolved, changing first to the Shandong Province Highway, LLC in June 1999, and then to the Shandong Province Highway Group Company in January 2005, before adopting its present name in January 2008.Construction projects
Since its foundation, SDHS has been involved in the construction and operation of a variety of transportation infrastructure projects throughout Shandong province, building a network that now includes almost 1400 kilometers of highway and 500 kilometers of railway. In addition to this, SDHS has taken the lead on construction of a further 3800 kilometers of railway throughout China, including a total investment of some 150 billion RMB (US$23.2 billion).
