Geography

Shankarpalli is located at 17.4514°N 78.1317°E. It has an average elevation of 560 meters (1840 feet). Shankerpalli Station is located on the Hyderabad Mumbai Railway line. The station assumes significance due to its proximity to the Defence Ordnance Factory (Medak District) around 5–6 km away where IIT, Hyderabad is located. It's a very beautiful place full of trees and nice climate.
