 but unfortunately for both the marriage was short lived for Shirley was shot when Viv Windsor's ex-husband Reg Dawson robbed Home Farm and in the process went to shoot his ex-wife only for Shirley to jump in the way to protect Viv. Reg was later gunned down, and killed, by the police.
