Shiulie Ghosh is a television

In July 2006, it was announced that Ghosh was to leave ITV News to join al-Jazeera's much-delayed English-language service, Al Jazeera English.
Ghosh is a senior anchor for Al Jazeera English, and was the opening anchor on the channel's launch in Doha on 15 November 2006. She also hosted Every Woman
, a show focusing on women's issues from around the world for which she won the Editor's Choice Media Excellence Award from the Association of International Broadcasting. Ghosh was featured in Qatar's winning 2022 FIFA World cup bid presentation video.
In 2006, a spoof film was made by Simon's colleagues as a tribute to him, because he was embarking on a new life in Qatar with Shiulie, who was referred to in much of the video. The film caused controversy at the BBC, with some claiming BBC licence payer's money was being abused.
