History
Prior to its current position, the station was located some 600m upline towards Perth, just east of the Ashton Avenue Bridge on the site of the former Loch Street Station. The former location was constructed in 1906 after the relocation of the showgrounds from Guildford to Claremont, and consisted of a two platform configuration with free standing passenger shelters and small administration/storage rooms for staff operating the station during Royal Show week.Platforms
