Shreveport Rugby Football Club
Things have changed since the inception of the club, with many new faces and families entering and leaving the Shreveport/Bossier Rugby Scene. Currently, Shreveport Rugby Football Club plays an 18 match season, and travels to Tournaments throughout the Southeastern United States. The hundreds of active and social members keep the torch lit and are always focused on "the spirit of the game". Since the first winning season in 1979, the club has seen both lean and bountiful times, and continues to focus on becoming the best club in the Texas Rugby Union.
The Shreveport Rugby Football Club is a member of the Texas Rugby Union. SRFC has recently moved up from the Division II level to Division I. Shreveport Rugby will play distinguished clubs in Texas such as: Dallas Harlequins, Dallas Reds, Huns Rugby, Houston Area Rugby Club, and the Austin Brats. The club will also play clubs from Louisiana and surrounding states. SRFC will frequently face teams from Baton Rouge, Little Rock, and Jackson.

History
Founded in 1977, with a supporting crew of members including Paul Dinkins, Mike Pass, Steve Timmons, and Bill Gallien, The Shreveport Rugby Football Club was off the ground with a trail blazing 0–3 record.Things have changed since the inception of the club, with many new faces and families entering and leaving the Shreveport/Bossier Rugby Scene.
