, and the trio frequently gets together to participate in Osaka High's activities. They also hang around with the rest of their group. Being a loud and brash boy, Shuichi offers a contrast to the stoic Izumi. This contrast is deliberate, for he soon develops feelings for Mizuki. However, he thinks that she is a guy, due to her disguise, and this causes him to believe that he himself is gay.

Like Izumi, Shuichi is an athlete. He is a member of the soccer team. His career was once under threat when he was falsely accused of cheating during an exam. Luckily, with the help of the three dorm leaders, he managed to clear his name.

Although that was the case, usually, he is on rather poor terms with Minami Nanba, the student leader in charge of his dorm. Minami would frequently tell him to shut up during dorm meetings. Also, he is often kicked in the head by Hokuto Umeda, the school doctor who happens to be Minami's uncle.
