The Sialkot District Government in Pakistan is headed by the District Nazim

who is also speaker of District Council. District Nazim is elected by the nazims of union councils, union councillors and by tehsil
nazims, who themselves are elected directly by the votes of the local public. There are 106 union councils in Sialkot District. The nazim is assisted by the District Coordination Officer (DCO) and the District Police Officer. All departments are grouped and placed under Executive District Officers, of various departments, including Health, Finance, Revenue, Industry, Agriculture, Education, Law, Literacy, IT, Community Development, Transport who are subordinate to the DCO. The city is managed by Tehsil Municipal Administration headed by a tehsil nazim.
