Siegfried Wentz is a former German

athlete. In the 1980s and until 1990 he represented West Germany
and belonged to the world elite in the decathlon

His personal best result of 8762 points came in Filderstadt-Bernhausen on 5 June 1983. At the end of the 2006 season he was still in 10th place for the best ever in the world. It ranks him third among German decathletes, only behind Jürgen Hingsen
