Sikachi-Alyan is a small Nanai village on the bank of Amur
river located 75 km north of Khabarovsk
. The place is famous for petroghlyphs ("masks"), the neolithic drawings carved on the surface of bazalt stones. The drawings date back to the times of 13 century B.C. The local findings contribute to the fact that people continued to inhabit this area till now. There is a museum and open-air reconstruction of the ancient village.
