SimilarGroup is a private technology based company, that developed an advanced algorithm aimed to identify similar and top content related to every website online in real time.
SimilarGroup's products provide real time recommendations to websites similar or related to the website the users are currently browsing.
It was founded in 2007 by Or Offer, Nir Cohen and Lior Shapsa under the name "Similarweb". In the end of 2009, the Company's name was changed to SimilarGroup.

Products

Based on its core similarity technology, SimilarGroup has developed various products with three successful products currently on the market:

1. SimilarWeb - A sidebar browser add-on, recommended by the Mozilla foundation. Using the sidebar provides the user with instant access to the best sites related to the one he's currently browsing. SimilarWeb is available for all the main browsers, including IE, Firefox and Chrome.
2. SimilarSites.com - A similarity search engine which allows users to type in a URL and receive recommendations for 20 more relevant and similar sites.
3. TopSite.com - Based on unique similarity algorithm, Topsite provides the users with real time recommendations regarding top websites in any searched category. The data is gathered automatically based on advanced crawlers and users recommendations.
