Television (STV) is a leading private television channel in Sindhi language
in Sindh
. It was founded by Dr. Abdul Kareem Rajpar and mr Ajeet Kumar ahuja. It is the second private Sindhi TV channel.
In November 2006 transmission was suspended by the Government of Pakistan
. Transmission was resumed later that month after demonstrations in Sindh. Has over 2,000 employees (including freelance Directors)
Sindh TV is one of the Pakistan’s leading private tv channel in Sindhi language, which is spoken in province of Sindh as official language, some 40 million Sindhis live in the province of Sindh whose capital is Karachi.
Sindh TV is owned by Dolphin Media House, which also owns another channel in Sindhi language called Sindh TV News.
Sindh TV News channel covers news and current affairs, airs 24 hours round the clock news and current affair programs.
Current Mr. Fayaz Naich is director of Current Affairs while noted Journalists Jami Chandio, Aamir Raza Memon, Ghulam Rasool Chandio are hosting talk shows and interview programs of this channel.
Sindh TV was founded by Dr. Karim Rajpar and mr ajeet kumar ahuja in October 2004. In last four years Sindh TV has greatly contributed in enriching Sindhi music, drama and music videos. Sindh TV is probably first tv channel of Pakistan which focused on documentaries, and Sindh TV with its professional team of journalists Ishaq Manghrio, Imdad Soomro, Hassan Dars, Buxan Mahranvi and Atta Rajar, produced some excellent and historic documentaries on mountains, archeological sites, forts, rivers, lakes, indigenous communities, these all are available in the library of Sindh TV.
