Sine Kassim Chadi is a former MLA, Canadian businessman, President and CEO of Imperial Equities Inc., a publicly traded company on the TSX Venture Exchange with a head office in Edmonton, Alberta.

he defeated incumbent Christie Mjolsness
to win his seat. Chadi represented his caucus on a number of the Legislature's economic development, public accounts and treasury committees.
He ran for the Alberta Liberal Party leadership in 1994 when Laurence Decore
stepped down. Grant Mitchell won that hotly contested party leadership race in 1994. Mitchell took the party in a different direction than Decore. Instead of running again in the next election, Chadi left provincial politics to pursue business opportunities.
Sine is an honorary member of the Mah Society for his strong ties to that community.
Sine was interested in seeking the Federal Liberal nomination in the Edmonton East riding under the Martin government in 2004. However, Martin started a bit of a controversy by forcing the appointment of party insider John Bethel without a democratic nomination. The Liberals subsequently lost the election in Edmonton East.

Background
Sine was born and raised in Lac La Biche, Alberta Canada. His ancestors are from the town of Lala in the Beqaa Valley District of Lebanon who arrived in Canada in 1895. Sine speaks English and Arabic as well as some Cree & French.Charitable Work, Community Leadership, and Fundraising
Sine is active in helping various charitable organizations throughout Northern Alberta, including as a Board member for the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and as fundraising chair for the $20 million dollar Edmonton Islamic School project which was completed in 2007. He also has helped raise funds for events and organizations including the Edmonton Gold Medal Plates (fundraisers for Canadian Olympic Athletes, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Edmonton as well as Crystal Kids.Sine is an honorary member of the Mah Society for his strong ties to that community.
