In 31 December 2004, MediaCorp
and SPH MediaWorks
agreed on a merger and they became Mediacorp TV Holdings
form MediaCorp TV owner and network by MediaCorp
with effect from 1 January 2005. Many workers were transferred and some others lost their jobs as a result of the merger.
