History
This award was awarded from the first ceremony in every year from 1970 through 1996, except for 1981. In 1997, the award was split into three more specialized awards, Favorite Traditional Male Quartet, Favorite Mixed Quartet, and Favorite Trio. In the 2007 Fan Awards, the three categories have again been combined into the Favorite Group award. This was only for a season however, as the fans beckoned the return of the Trio, Mixed Group, and Male Quartet awards. They got their wish, in addition to the newly added Favorite Artist award, which is now considered "the biggie".Favorite Group (1970-1980)
