on 27 March 1811. He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath on 4 June 1815. With his father's death he succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Baker on 4 February 1826. Baker became a Rear-Admiral on 6 November 1850 and Vice-Admiral on 9 July 1857.
