Sir John Parnell, 1st Baronet (c. 1720–1782), was an Irish
politician and a baronet.
He was the only son of John Parnell, Esq., M.P.
, Judge
of the Court of King's Bench, and Mary, sister of the Lord Chief-Justice

was the archdeacon
of Clogher
in 1705, prebendary

He was appointed High Sheriff of Queen's County
in 1753. He was a M.P.
for Maryborough in 1761, and was created a Baronet of Rathleague, Queen’s County, on November 3, 1766. Sir John married Anne, second daughter of the Hon. Michael Ward, of Castle Ward
