On May 14, 2011, SkyScreamer officially opened at Six Flags St. Louis. It replaced Riverview Racer which was removed at the end of the 2010 season.
On May 27, 2011, SkyScreamer at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom officially opened to the public. It is located where the trams parking lot was and is adjacent to the Medusa roller coaster which has the same height.
On September 1, 2011, SkyScreamers were announced for the 2012 season at two Six Flags parks. Six Flags Fiesta Texas will open a 200 feet (61 m) tall SkyScreamer in Spring 2012. It will surpass the height of the park's quarry walls
. Six Flags Great Adventure also announced that they would be adding a SkyScreamer in 2012. The ride at Great Adventure will stand at 242 feet (73.8 m) and will be accompanied by three other new rides (a bumper cars, flying elephants, and a scrambler

Incidents
During late July 2011, SkyScreamer at Six Flags St. Louis had a malfunction with the ride system. According to more than one report, something caused the counterweight to suddenly drop to the bottom of the tower resulting in the empty rider carriage launching to the top. This caused damage on both ends. It was expected that SkyScreamer would remain closed for the rest of the 2011 season, but the ride reopened to the public in late August 2011 following the replacement of a part.Installations
