The studio aims for Modern Warfare 3 to be a 95-plus rated game, and for it to be essentially bug-free in order to meet the high expectations of gamers today.
As of October 2011, Sledgehammer Games have said that they will likely cancel the third-person shooter, but haven't ruled out the possibility of resuming development in the future.
sold 6.5 million copies in the US and UK alone and grossed $400 million within 24 hours of going on sale, while grossing more than $775 million globally in its first five days of availability.
