The SnapFiles website offers a search engine, product categories, freeware/shareware separation and lists of popular downloads. There is also an option for users to submit their own software reviews. SnapFiles claims to download, test and review all programs listed on the website and to remove useless programs submitted to it. Only the staff review products before they are listed and rate them with a rating of 1 to 5 on listing.

Malware Policy

SnapFiles states that all software is tested for malware, spyware and viruses during the review. Third party add-on bundles are only accepted if they are optional and come from a reputable source (currently limited to Google, Bing, Ask, Yahoo! and Open Candy). If a software comes bundled with an optional add-on, the product listing includes a note to make the user aware of it.
