in 1987. It is a less cohesive work than their first album, that ran the gamut from Middle Eastern music
to the Soviet national anthem

hymns to feedback workouts.
The title turn over the phrase "Socialisme ou Barbarie
" (Socialism or Barbarism) from Rosa Luxembourg used in a 1916 essay, 'The Junius Pamphlet'.
"Manifesto" and the remake of the "National Anthem of the Soviet Union", "A ja ljublju SSSR" (with different lyrics) are strongly influenced by their pro-Soviet ideology.
"Sura", "Radio Kabul" about the Soviet war in Afghanistan
(1979-1989), and "Inch'Allah ça va" are influenced by the Islamic culture and Middle Eastern music
.
"Tu menti" is an attack on the nihilist
punk rock
of the Sex Pistols
with an explicit reference to "Anarchy in the UK", and mimics the riff from the song "Liar".
"Libera me Domine" opens a new series of songs dedicated to religion
