History

A medical facility, aimed to serve the community of Sonora and the surrounding areas, was built in 1900 as Bromley Sanitarium. Throughout the next 50 years, the medical facility changed ownership several times and in 1957, the facility relocated to a new building that remains its location today. Several years later, in 1961, the hospital was given to the Seventh-day Adventist Church and in 1973 joined Adventist Health.
