South Hunterdon Regional High School is a regional public high school
and secondary school district
serving three communities in southern Hunterdon County

As of the 2009-10 school year, the school had an enrollment of 348 students and 32 classroom teachers (on an FTE
basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.88.
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education
as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.
South Hunterdon Regional High School is a very small, tight knit community of education and extra-curricular activities. The school allows and markets the opportunity for students from outside the district to attend by paying tuition, as some consider the small class sizes and environment to be similar to that of a private school.
The school was the 74th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 322 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly
magazine's September 2010 cover story on the state's "Top Public High Schools", after being ranked 58th in 2008 out of 316 schools. The school was ranked 120th in the magazine's September 2006 issue, which included 316 schools across the state.
