The Southgate-Lewis House is a historic two-story home in east Austin, Texas
. It was built in 1888 by a local bookbinder using the Gothic Revival
style of architecture.
The home is located in a historically African-American neighborhood. In 1986 it was sold to the W.H. Passon Historical Society for its headquarters. It was recently renovated.
The Society operates the Jacob Fontaine Religious Museum at the Southgate-Lewis House. The museum's exhibits focus on the African American experience in Austin and Travis County.
