stores in Atlanta and consolidated to Rich's-Macy's. This would last until 2005, when it would be converted back to Macy's
. On January 24, 2011, JCPenney announced it will shut down the Southlake Mall location on June 1.
Renovations include:
Carousel added to the food court which was moved downstairs into its own area with much more seating. All of the restaurants were formerly in different places throughout the mall. Of the restaurants that were formerly in Southlake there was Bonanza, Piccadilly, Ruby Tuesday, and a Pizza Hut.
The escalators were placed at either end of the mall rather than there being one near the center of the mall near the escalators. The fountain was removed from the downstairs area in front of Sears and Radio Shack to accommodate the escalator.
