The Soyuz 7KT-0K is an early variant of the Soyuz spacecraft intended to transport crews to and from the Salyut 1
space station
. It flew in space only twice.

On its maiden flight, the 7KT-OK successfully launched into earth orbit, but failed to dock completely with the Salyut 1
space station. Upon reentry, the spacecraft encountered problems with toxic fumes.
On its second flight, the spacecraft achieved the first successful docking with the world's first space station, Salyut 1. All three mission crew, however, were killed upon reentry due to a faulty seal on the spacecraft that allowed air to escape the Soyuz.
