  near Stone, Offmore, Comberton Aggborough and Hoobrook. Spennells has a park with some woodland/nature reserve area around it. The area includes several shops including a supermarket, a pharmacy, a florist, a hairdresser, a Kemp Hospice Shop, and two takeaway restaurants. A lake, known as Captain's Pool, features animals such as ducks, swans and has plenty of fish in the water. The the streets are named after birds, for example Teal

The area's only Primary School, Heronswood Primary School (Spennells Community Primary School) is located in the captins pool area of the neighbourhood.

In April 2011 the school was graded satisfactory with good features.
