SHS is also an IB World School (considered to be one of the most prestigious programmes in the world). It's rival school, Har-Ber, does not qualify to be an IB World School.

Academics

Since 1940, Springdale has been accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASI). In 2005, Springdale was one of 18 schools awarded the Gold Implementation Award by the Arkansas Board of Education http://arkansased.org/sbe/sbe.html.
