. The title may have been decided on due to her previous association with the James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977), for which she recorded the theme song "Nobody Does It Better".
Although Spy did not yield any hit singles, "Vengeance" earned Simon a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Vocal Performance Female in early 1980 - the first year to feature the new category. It peaked on the Billboard Chart at #48. The promotional clip was also chosen by Pioneer Electronics to be part of their first demo disc for its then-new Laserdisc
player.
