He is married to TV producer Bhavana Belegere and is the son in law of noted writer, journalist and TV Presenter Ravi Belagere

Post his education, started acting in TV serials for ETV, Udaya and Suvarna – Prominent among them were Chandrika, Preethigagi , Ananda Sagara, Mane Mane Kathe and Bhoomi
His popularity gave him the opportunity to play leading roles and he made his debut as a hero in the movie "Giri" and followed it withInti Ninna Preethiya which gave him stardom, Olave Jeevana Lekkachaara
