Saint
Husik was Patriarch of Armenia and a martyr
. According to P'awstos he was raised in the court of King Tiran of Armenia and married the daughter of Tiran when quite young. P'awstos goes as far as to say that Husik only coupled with his wife once, from which union were born two sons.
He was willing to denounce the evils of the king and his courtiers. At one point he went as far as to try and ban the king and his associates from the church at the time of a festival. For this he was martyred by being clubbed to death.
