In 2008 there were plans to completely redevelop the school buildings, which would have led to non-catholic girls being admitted. This development was cancelled in July 2010 due to excessive spending of the previous government.Academic performance
It gets creditable results at GCSE - slightly above average in 2010. However at A level, it gets very low results - some of the lowest in the area, and the fifth lowest in the LEA.
