Accord provides individualised support, community day programs, respite for carers, advocacy support, shared supported accommodation and open or supported employment.

Continued expansion of the Accord service is planned as part of St John of God Health Care’s five-year Social Outreach and Advocacy strategy, announced in 2010.

Opportunity Shops

St John of God Accord operates four opportunity shops in Victoria.

Approximately 80 volunteers work part time and casually in opportunity shops in Wandin, Greensborough, Croydon and Burnt Bridge.

“Rudely Interrupted”

A rock band formed in 2006 from St John of God Accord’s music program played at the United Nations in New York for International Disability Day in 2008.

In 2010, the band - “Rudely Interrupted” – launched their debut album “Tragedy of the Commons”.
