 in the city of Patna. The school is amongst the oldest missionary schools in eastern India. It is situated on the banks of the river Ganges.

The control of the school was passed on to the missionaries of the Society of Jesus

 of the American Chicago Province, in 1968. The Jesuit Fathers had been running Patna's oldest Jesuit school, the St. Xaviers, and both the schools were headed by Father Gordon Edmund Murphy. The school changed from bihar Board to CBSE Board in 1988.

The principal is Fr. B. Arockiasamy, S.J. who is also referred to as Fr. Peter.

The school has a cricket ground,concrete pitches, basketball courts, three soccer fields, a badminton court, squash courts, indoor and outdoor facilities for table-tennis, a swimming pool, a pond and a B.Ed college within its campus.
In 2008 the school celebrated its 150 years of its existance. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, visited the school during his visit to Bihar in 2010.
