 who rose to prominence with his contribution to the critically acclaimed, historical documentary The Stories of the Great Depression: This Great Nation Will Endure along with his two books, The Stubbs Family of Howell Cross Road, Alabama and The Untold Stories of the Stubbs Family of Howell Cross Road, Alabama. He also received credit for his speeches around the United States that discussed history, family, and self worth. Stanley has a wife, Donnette Fielder, along with two children, Stanisha and Preston.

 and Cherokee County, Alabama. At the age of 15, Stanley was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left him in the hospital for relatively three months. He soon made a speedy recovery in order to graduate high school and enroll in Gadsden Community College.

Blackburn stayed at Gadsden Community College for two years until he finally transferred to Alabama State University

 where he pursued a degree in Computer Information System and Business Management. He soon met his wife, Donnette, who was from Gadsden, Alabama as well as being a Social Work major. They soon fell in love and got married on August 25, 1984 and had their first child, Stanisha Renee Blackburn, on January 3, 1985. By this time, Stanley had graduated from Alabama State University while his wife was still completing her masters in Social Work.

1988 - Present

Blackburn left Alabama and moved to Georgia

 where he pursued a career in restaurant management. After a few years in the management business, Blackburn became an elementary teacher, focusing on children with Autism. However, Blackburn eventually went back to his love for history, getting into genealogy and putting together his first book about his family's lineage entitled The Stubbs Family of Howell Cross Roads. This book allowed him to be recognized by the National Archives in Morrow, Georgia

. The archives placed this book into their national archives collection. They soon reached out to him again to participate in a national documentary about the American citizens during the Great Depression entitled The Stories of the Great Depression: This Great Nation Will Endure. Blackburn detailed a story about how his grandfather needed to buy his son a pair of shoes but did not have the money to do so. But one day, he found a dime and bought his son some shoes so he could go to school. After the debut of the documentary, Blackburn was asked to do another interview for the Clayton County Historical Society. Stanley Blackburn then turned his attentions to the mysteries of the Stubbs family and wrote his second book The Untold Stories of the Stubbs Family. Blackburn is currently working on a new book and is still practicing genealogy research for other individuals.
