Staten Island Light

The Staten Island Range Light (also known as the Ambrose Channel Range Light), serves as the rear range light companion to the West Bank Light
house. The 90-foot tower is located on Staten Island
’s Richmond Hill (Lighthouse Hill
) at a point that is 141 feet above sea level and over five miles northwest of the West Bank Lighthouse. It shows a fixed white light that can be seen for 18 miles (on range only).
It was designated a New York City Landmark in 1968 and remains a valuable aid to navigation for all ships entering the Ambrose Channel
