The song didn't hit the national charts in the U.S., but it was a significant hit across Europe. It went to #7 in Germany, #3 in France, and #2 in Ireland. In Norway the song gave the band their fourth #1 single. This was A-ha's seventh and final Top 5 showing in the UK to date, reaching #5 there on March 27, 1988.

A Roland D-50 was used on this song--the sound patch is called " staccatto Heaven"--the wind sound during the instrumental was made on a Roland Juno 60 or Juno 106 synthesizer.

The single sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

The versions on the 7" vinyl and the 3" CD single ("7 inch Version") are identical to the album version.
