In the 2000/2001 season Klos produced an outstanding performance in a match against Hearts at Tynecastle. In a game which saw Claudio Reyna and Arthur Numan sent off for the away side, Klos produced a string of fine saves to give Rangers a one nil victory after Jorg Albertz had scored a penalty.

In the 2002/2003 season Klos was a standout performer and one of the main reasons Rangers won the treble

He was made Rangers' captain in July 2004.

The German custodian picked up knee ligament damage in training in January 2005 and missed the remainder of the double winning campaign and was replaced by Ronald Waterreus
