Stephanie Kalesavich
Encyclopedia
Stephanie Kalesavich is an American
figure skater. She first competed in pairs with partner Amaan Archer and captured a Novice U.S. Championship title. Archer later left skating and Stephanie paried up with Aaron Parchem
. The duo began their competitive career with a win in Junior Pairs at the 2000 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships by capturing all first place ordinals in the Free Skate. In 2001, the pair begun International competition and also scored a pewter medal at the 2001 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The following year, Kalesavich and Parchem placed 2nd after the Short Program, but were narrowly edged out for the silver by Scott and Dulebohn after the Free Skate (as bronze medalists, Kalesavish and Parchem were named the first Olympic alternates in that year). Their partnership ended suddenly in 2003 (just after the 2003 U.S. National competition) when Parchem and the team's coaches decided Parchem should seek a new partner.
Stephanie is now coaching young skaters of all levels at the Onyx-Suburban Skating Academy in Rochester and Macomb Township, Michigan.
