Stephen led Bathgate Thistle to the Scottish Junior Cup Final, walking away with the cup with a 2–1 victory over Cumnock. He made his international debut for Scotland, picking up player of the tournament in Quad home nations tournament in the Isle of Man. He is recovering from a knee operation and is yet to make an appearance in the current season. At present he also works for Porcelanosa as a business development manager.
