OBE (born 1950) is the British High Commissioner to Bangladesh

Evans is a former soldier and an expert in the political and social situation in Afghanistan
. He joined the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in 1974, serving in London
as a Third Secretary until 1975. He was then promoted to Second Secretary, a post he held between 1976 and 1978.
Between 1978 and 1980, Evans was Head of Chancery and Consul in Hanoi
