Stephen Jordan Rigaud

Stephen Jordan Rigaud was an English clergyman and schoolmaster.

He was appointed as the senior assistant master of Westminster School

, and was put in charge of a boarding house from 1846 - 1850. The house in question is now known as Rigaud's. His leadership of the house was questionable (he was known to have sexually abused young boys on at least three occasions), and his successor was forced to work hard to bring the house up to moral standards. In 1850 he became head master of Ipswich School

, where it is said he caned boys as a sexual sado-masochistic act. He was made Bishop of Antigua
