Stephen Kozmeniuk is a Canadian songwriter, producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist from Whitehorse
, Yukon
. He began his musical career in the Canadian band Boy (Maple Music Recordings/Universal-Canada/Imperial Records- Japan). They released several singles in Canada and Japan. Modest success was achieved with the songs Up in This Town and Same Old Song charting in the top 10 at radio and Much Music. The Globe and Mail described the sound as "art rock with a Brit twist, combined with an ultracool, laid-back attitude".
In 2005, Kozmeniuk appeared with Boy at Summersonic Festival in Tokyo and Osaka alongside Ian Brown
, Arcade Fire, and Mew
and at the South by Southwest
festival in Austin Texas. Many of the songs on Boy's sophomore effort, Every Page You Turn, were broadcast on television shows such as Degrassi: The Next Generation
