Early and private life

Stephen Molumphy was born in Ballyduff Upper, County Waterford in 1984. He attended St Michael's primary school in Ballyduff and later attended St. Colman's College in Fermoy, County Cork. Here he enjoyed many hurling successes, winning one Dean Ryan Cup medal, two Harty Cup medals and two All-Ireland A Colleges' medals. Stephen is an Officer in the Irish Defence Forces and holds the rank of Lieutenant. Currently (11/'09) Molumphy is away in Chad with the army.
